A Gentleman’s Guide to Planning an Epic Date Night

If you want to sweep beautiful women off their feet, you need to do some real planning ahead of time. This means tidying up the facial hair, working on your pickup lines, and spicing up things in the bedroom.

For the true gentlemen, you’re going to put your all into each and every date. But, outside of the standard operating procedures, what can you do to make an ordinary evening out into a night to remember? Here are some tips to help you get ready and stay ready.

1. Focus on that facial hair.

If your beard hair is looking a little wild, you need to tame it. Beard balm, oil, conditioner, and a comb can all work wonders if you’re having a beard struggle. However, if you want to take things to the next level, you should get a heated beard pick. It’s essentially a beard straightener that will improve the volume of your beard hair in ways that a beard brush or beard comb can’t really do. If you don’t want a completely straight beard, don’t worry.

You’re not taking a flat iron or blow dryer to your beard hair. Instead, you’re taming the fullness and bristles of your beard hair. Look for a heated beard brush with different heat settings that you can add to your daily routine. You may like your heat brush so much that you’ll be tempted to use it on your head hair too. Just avoid heat damage, especially for shorter beards and whiskers. If you want, there are even thermal brushes that fit into a travel pouch so you can amp up your beard volume and get a thicker beard on the go.

2. Pick a memorable spot.

Unless you have a team of assistants working to set up your date, you’re going to be doing most of the work yourself. It’s a good thing that many conventional date spots aren’t open at the moment because it forces you to get creative. If you’re a bit of a gambler, you could try something out of left field. Or, you could keep things simple with a nice walk around downtown. If you want to end up with a phone number at the end of the night, the best way is to make the date memorable.

3. Work on your flirtation.

You don’t need to be a legendary pickup artist like Richard La Ruina to flirt more successfully. However, you may want to consider some PUA Training classes. PUA Training can help you work on your PUA skills in a controlled environment. Even if it’s your first time, it’ll help you work on intimacy. This doesn’t mean you have to join the seduction community or have a woman “eating out of the palm of your hand.” It does mean that you’ll find more effective ways to flirt, from the opener to general compliments.

4. Be a better listener.

While dates are a great way to tell someone about yourself, you’re also there to learn about the other person. This means you need to have some solid listening skills or else you may come across as self-centered. In a high-heat situation like a date, nothing turns those high temperatures into ice faster than bad conversation.

5. Mind your manners.

You took a long shower and put balm on your skin. You’ve tamed the beard with your pocket comb. You’re using your PUA skills. However, if you’re not showing courtesy and manners, you’re not being much of a gentleman, are you? Many women won’t immediately judge you by your beard length, hair frizz, or jawline. However, they will judge you for how you act around them and others. Please and thank you still go a long way, you know.

Whether you’re purchasing a smaller-size heated beard comb for home use to work on your grooming or you’re taking a PUA class to build confidence, there are steps you can take to make every date a winner. You never know what will happen if you simply act like a true gentleman.
